  3. MFL Goals Progress: go up a level in the subject. Effort: win 15 points in a half-term in the Chocolate League. Use the language: get 4/6/10 points in a half-term for using the ‘target language’ in class. Quality: have your work displayed in the classroom or on the MFL blog, or receive an MFL postcard. Independent learning: sign in and earn 100 / 250 / 500 points on MYLO (www.hellomylo.com). Presentation: keep your books looking neat.

  4. Options (page 1) For each task you choose, you’ll need to provide evidence of success! • Teach an adult 10 words s/he didn’t already know. • Write an article to do with MFL for the blog or School Newsletter. • Perform a song in the language you are learning (live or on video). • Give a presentation in the language (lasting ½ / 1 / 1½ mins). • Make a board game to practise what you have learned in one or more units.

  5. Options (page 2) For each task you choose, you’ll need to provide evidence of success! • Prepare a dish or snack from a country of your choice. • Research and make either a PowerPoint presentation, a scrapbook, or a display about an aspect of a country where the language is spoken (e.g. place, food, famous person…). • Get to know a student from a school in a country where the language is spoken. • Make a resource to help younger language learners. • Win the weekly MFL quiz at www.hellesdon.net

  6. On your marks… Maybe you can already check off some of these achievements this year? Go to the school website, and find the link to the MFL pages. From there, go to the MFL Blog. Print yourself an Olympic Award Checklist and get your teacher to sign for things you’ve already done. Then get cracking on the next ones. See you on the podium!
