  1. Reasons Why Officers Don’t Want to Outreach Through A Bible Study • Don’t believe that they are worthy or knowledgeable enough about the Bible and God. • Afraid of being labeled as “one of those peace loving softies” • Afraid of rejection among their peers. • Afraid of losing their “police edge”.

  2. Typical Thoughts on Evangelism

  3. Why Officers Should Outreach through a BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP • To Help Lead “Cops to Christ” • To build stronger families among officers • Develop & Motivate Christian Leaders within the Law Enforcement Community at large • To Introduce Christ to the Un-Churched Officers that you know. (Your Own Outreach Ministry) • To Spiritual Motivate & Encourage other Christian Officers • To Promote Christian Values and Ethics within your agency.

  4. What Makes LEO’s Great Leaders For God • We are gifted leaders (we like to take charge) • We are gifted communicators (we like to talk) • We work in a spiritually lost workplace / society (means we have a built-in outreach ministry) • We have a God-given commandment (Mark 16:15 “He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation”) • We understand and know each other as Cops

  5. Small Group Bible Studies are historically known as the following; Cell Groups Life Groups Neighborhood Bible Studies Home Bible Studies Group Studies How to Get Started….some Basics facts

  6. Why the Peacekeeper’s Bible Study? • Was written with the “seeker”, “un-churched”, or “non-Christian” officer in mind • Each chapter addresses topics of interest to the individual officers and relates those experiences back to the Bible and specific Bible verses. (target specific study lessons) • Lessons are easy to read and each chapter is 7-12 pages with question and answers at the end

  7. Why the Peacekeeper’s • An Opportunity for you to give back in service to God through the use of your time, talents, and gifts by outreaching to your officers. 1st Peter 4:10 (LB): “God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God’s many kinds of blessings” • The Study is flexible to your own denomination or church affiliation.

  8. Why the Peacekeeper’s ? • Real life law enforcement situations written by a Christian law enforcement veteran. • No Chapter Dues or Membership Fees • Easy to understand Bible verses and related stories. • YOUR opportunity to enlarge your mission field.

  9. BUT I’M NOT WORTHY TO LEAD A BIBLE STUDY

  10. I’m Not Worthy…… “IF YOU CAN READ AND BREATHE THEN YOU CAN LEAD” You Only Need the Following; • A Heart to Lead Your Fellow Officers To A Life With Christ • The Desire to See Christ work in the lives of your Fellow Officers • The Heart to build stronger families among LEO’s • The Desire to Give Back in Service to God through the use of your own God given gifts.

  11. The study has certainly been a real blessings not only to myself but also to those who faithfully attend. I have noticed a increase in members wanting to know and will to study God's word. I would out hesitation highly  recommend this Bible study to any and all Law enforcement personnel. L.R.Whitted – Law Enforcement Christian Fellowship at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia Some Comments on the Peacekeeper’s Study

  12. The Peacekeepers book was an excellent tool for establishing our small group. We have since moved on to other study material that is not specifically designed for police officers, which I think shows how much this group has grown. We have six regular members of our group who meet faithfully every Thursday night. Two are retired officers, one Detective Sergeant, two patrol officers, and one police Chaplain (and me). The effect these men have had on those around them has been great. They have passed your book around to others in the department, and have used it to start conversations they normally would not have had.Sgt. Chris Delacanal– Las Vegas, NV

  13. Peacekeeper studies are expanding by Outreaching to Spouses of Law Enforcement Officers through two (2) Peacekeeper’s fellowship chapter groups designed specifically for Spouses; Concord, CA. Ocala, FL.
