Reduction Changes • New One-Year Hire category: Funds provided for current year only • Clarifies that Superintendent/Designee may determine if any areas reduced division-wide instead of site-based • Clarifies teachers at multiple locations are reduced upon needs of each school in accordance with policy • Assignments are at principal’s discretion based on needs of school
Reduction Changes Continued • Changes reduction notification deadline from June 1 to July 1 per state code change
Recall Process Changes • Establishes recall period through Labor Day • Establishes two (2) business day timeframe for RIF teachers to accept job offer • Utilizes new application system for vacancies and candidate pool for increased transparency
