  2. The basic requirement to run a small or big business is the proper finance management, most of the business failed due to this. Xero is cloud-based accounting software that incorporates with your bank details and deals with any activity related to it like creating invoicing, accounts payables, expenses claims, purchase order and management reporting. You can try 30 days free trial and try every feature with unlimited users but after the trial is over you need to pay some subscription charge based on the type and number of companies managed by you. Xero Support provides you a set of instructions to explain you how to add a bank or credit card account to your Xero. Let’s get started with the process.

  3. For adding a bank account you’re either need to go to Accounts and then select Bank Account or go to Settings, and then General Settings and then click Chart of Accounts. Select a bank from the list. • Click Add Bank Account and start typing your its name: • If you want to select the bank name from the list, a direct feed list is available for your account. Make sure you select the correct name, region, and type. • If the name doesn’t appear on the list, click Add it anyway. You’ll need to import bank statements into your Xero organization.

To identify this bank account in Xero enter the name you want to use, this name will be used in the reports and will be displayed on the dashboard. • Select the Account type: • If you've selected a bank with direct feeds available, choose your eligible account type. If it isn't shown, select Other. • If you’ve manually entered your bank name, select either Credit card or Other.

  5. Enter your Account number or credit card number. • If you’re setting up a bank account for a foreign currency that you’ve added in Xero, select the currency. You can't change the currency of a bank account once it's set up. • Click “+ Add another bank account” if you want to add multiple accounts. • Click Save or Continue.
