  1. Quick Start GuideAssisted Registration Tool Pt3. A guide on setting up the Personally Controlled part of the Electronic Health Record Version 1 Authored by Dan Kyr -All information correct as of 14th February 2013

  2. Firstly you need to go to www.ehealth.gov.au

  3. Firstly click “Log in” and then “Setup online access”

  4. You will arrive at this page. It will guide you through the page. Click “Start process”

  5. Please have your client read the Essential information and then click “I have read the essential information”

  6. Fill out all of the important information

  7. Firstly have your client think of a password and enter it in both locations

  8. Next they must think of 3 question and 3 answers. These will be asked every time the client logs in and then click “Create account” Q A Q A Q A

  9. You now have a Australian Gov account- Either write down the User ID or Print this page off (please ask your organisation’s policy on this). (you will need it to access PCEHR)

  10. Next select what you did with the User ID and click “Continue”

  11. A verification page will appear. Here you will need to click enter your “ehealth code here”. This is called the I.V.C.

  12. Note • You click this because your client should have already gone through PCEHR registration using the A.R.T. (Assisted Registration Tool).

  13. As your client should be with you during this process, you should select “Myself” and the click continue

  14. You will be brought to this page. Select “Enter your code”

  15. You will be asked to enter your clients I.V.C. and fill out the remaining details and continue

  16. Now you have access to the PCEHR. Click “Open your eHealth Record”

  17. It will bring you to this landing page. The page may take some time to populate data (around 2 minutes)

  18. You client now has access to the PCEHR

  19. Where to from here • From this point the client can access their own PCEHR at any time with computer access. • If you or your client have any questions please ask your manager for more information. • Every one from the average person in Sydney to your clients in the bush have the right to control their Electronic Health Records. • You or your client as a user of the PCEHR have the right to ask any question or gain any help you need from the Commonwealth Government • Call the Ehealth helpline 1800 723 471
