  1. Thriller NOW YOU SEE ME 2

  2. now YOU SEE ME 2 • Released June 10th 2016 and is the sequal to Now you see me which was released in 2013 • Produced by Summit Entertainment, TIK Films, K/O Paper Products • Directed by John M Chu • Main Cast is Dave Franco, Jesse Eisenberg, Lizzzy Caplan, Daniel Radcliffe and Morgan Freeeman

  3. narrative • In the beginning it starts with stairs that turn into puzzle pieces this shows us that not everything is what it seems and perception is key it already creates a sense of mystery and the fact that we cant trust anything • Then there is a montage explaining backstory of each of the characters as it is a sequel like a bit of a recap and it is done by a voice over while all the illusions are going on • At the end it shows us the man who was doing the voice over and was explaining all the characters showing he has a personal connection to them as he knows them and their life in detail- curious about how he knows so much and how he is connected to them

  4. Target Audience • 15-30: there is some quite complex scene and hard to wrap around your head scene so you need to be of a certain age to under stand but it such a cool concept and interesting idea that it will attract a young audience as it is an exciting movie • No gender preference for the movie as it has both male and women gaze through some attractive actors.

  5. Key Convention for thriller • It is a psychological thriller as it plays loads of mind trick and illusion pn you to mess with your head and get you thinking about perception ad the way we see things • It a very dark colour pallete to match with the indirect but clear message that nothing is as it seems and everyone hides things and were not all as innocent as you think- it messes and twists your brain instead of psychically scaring you

  6. Key Moments Camera WORK sound • Mid shot id the man who is doing the voice overs he seems to be in an orange jumpsuit ( like in prison) makes us wonder why he in in there and as well the fact he knows she much about each one in the organization add to the mystery of who he is and how he knows everything especially if he is in jail • Voice over Narration telling us details of character and the ones he talks about we know are going to be prevalent later on in the movie and they are important in the storyline • It actually gives you information instead or showing phots and leaving it unknow to the audience

  7. editing • Montage of different illusions and tricks build mystery in the different deceptions • The opening scene flows together all the scene fit together like piece in a jigsaw

  8. Conclusion • I think it is an unconventional thriller it doesn’t fit the threshold as a stereotypical thriller • I think it messes and confuses your mind more than anything • It isn’t a scary thriller it complex and juggles ideal and concepts in the movie it feel like one big riddle/puzzle
