  3. Relative Location • Relative location is finding a place on Earth using the cardinal directions The relative location of Jamaica is Columbia South, North Carolina North, Puerto Rico East, and Mexico West.

  4. Human Characteristic of Place • Place is a human and physical characteristic. The two parts that it’s divided into is human and physical characteristics. A human characteristic is something that is man made. A human characteristic for Jamaica is the aqueduct. The aqueduct was built between 1760 and 1780. The aqueduct is 559 meters long. This is one of the few aqueducts in jamaica.

  5. Physical Characteristic of Place • A physical characteristic is something that is already there. A physical characteristic is the blue mountains. The blue mountains are thickly covered with tree. Coffee is grown there. The coffee that is grown there is expensive. .

  6. Movement • Movement is how are people, goods, and ideas moved into and out of this place. The weather climate in Jamaica is usually really tropical weather. In the day it is about 80 degrees or 90 degrees during the day. 70degrees at night. In the winter it is about 10 degrees.

  7. Movement • Their transportation is by train, mini bus, and taxi. A train runs two times a day between Kingston and Montego bay. A word of advice agree on the price before making the trip. The buses have stranded places of departure and can also be waved down.

  8. Region • Region as a theme refers to areas of the earth that have common characteristics. Jamaica has two regions. One language and it is located in the Caribbean. It shows region because, U.S.A., England, Australia, and Canada speak English.it is part of the Caribbean trait because Jamaica speak English. A physical trait because it is located in the Caribbean.

  9. Region • It also shows region because U.S.A , England, Australia, Canada, Madagascar, Ireland, and India speak English. Also it shows a region because Puerto Rico, Dominican republic, Haiti, the Bahamas, and Cuba. Are located in the Caribbean.

  10. Human/Environment Interaction • Human/Environment interaction in geography is how people harm or help the environment. One example of Human/Environment. Interaction. in Jamaica is the way Jamaicans pollute the air with cement factories. In Kingston they have features that make cement, but smoke comes out harming the environment. My examples show that Jamaica harm the island because they make cement and smoke comes out harming the air and environment.

  11. Human/Environment Interaction • My second example is that Jamaicans dig for bauxite. In Jamaica they dig for bauxite which is harming the ground, plants, and animals. My examples show that Jamaica harms the country because they dig for bauxite harming the ground.
