  1. GLAUCOMA AT A GLANCE The nerve which connects the eyes to the brain and enables us to receive visual information is called the optic nerve. It is located in the back of the eye and carries visual information of what we see to the brain in the form of electrical impulses. It is made up of millions of nerve fibres and is also called the Second Cranial Nerve. When number of factors get-together to damage this optic nerve, the condition is called Glaucoma. Glaucoma is a serious condition which requires immediate medical attention from the best eye specialist in Mumbai. How does affect you? It is one of the most common forms of disease that damages the optic nerve. This damage can be repaired with the help of Glaucoma eye surgery.
