Republic of Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that validity of the KS registration plates is extended starting from the 1st of November 2011. Starting from the 1st of November until the 31st of December 2011, all owners of vehicles with old registration plates of ex Yugoslavia, registered in Kosovo, after the 1st of June 1999 until the 31st of October 2011, shall register their vehicles with KS or RKS number plates, in the respective vehicles registration centers, based on the documents they have in possession. All drivers and owners of vehicles are requested, during this period, to be equipped with ID cards and Driver’s Licenses of the Republic of Kosovo. More detailed information on procedures to be equipped with KS or RKS number plates, may be inquired in the nearest Municipal Vehicle Registration Centers and Police Stations, or by calling 038 213 229, or by sending an email to regjistrimi.automjeteve@ks-gov.net and registracija.vozila@ks-gov.net. The Ministry of Internal Affairs ensures the citizens that the vehicle registration procedures shall be quick and efficient.
