  2. Tractor A tractor is one of the powerful and one of the most popular vehicles specifically designed to deliver a high tractive effort at slow speeds, Tractor is used to haul a trailer or farm machinery used in agriculture or construction activity. In modern Era Tractors are available in different sizes, It is highly versatile pieces of farm machinery. Most of the farm equipment can be used as a tractor attachment including a rotavator or rotary tiller, seeder, hay baler, wagon, power harrow, trailer and more.

  3. Fact About Tractor Tractors have a Powerful and Large diesel engine, this engine's power is designed in a unique and entirely different way for performing agricultural activities, pulling big and heavy loads. All this is possible because of the tractor's gearbox, which helps to convert the high-speed revolutions of the mighty diesel engine into lower-speed revolutions in the wheels, which increases the force of the tractor which can be used for pulling things at the very same time. The word Tractor is related to words like "traction" which comes from the Latin word "tractus" which means drawing (pulling). A tractor is essentially a machine made for performing farming activities.

  4. The Reason why Tractors were invented • The main reason tractors were invented was to replace the working animals like oxen and horses, which in past people have been using to pull carts and plows from ancient times. • Tractors are taken into use to pull a variety of farm implements for Planting, plowing, fertilizing, cultivating, and also for harvesting crops. It can also be used for haulage and personal transportation as well. • Before tractors came, horses made life much easier for the farmers, but they could only pull things on the farms. In the early stages, tractors were merely replacements for the horses but eventually, even they could pull things as well. These tractors used to run on coals and were known as steam traction engines. They had a similar look like small steam locomotives with large and sturdy wheels made of metals. They first appeared at the end of the 19th century.

  5. What are the uses of a tractor? • Tractors in USA have been traditionally used for farming and many other agricultural activities. Tractor in today's time is considered as one of the most important machinery for the farmer. A Tractor is well capable of doing activities like tilling, landscape maintenance, plowing, spreading and moving fertilizers and for clearing bushes too. • Tractors are taken into use in small and as well as regular lawn and garden work. Tractors come in different models with different specifications, built to offer versatility while performing a wide range of activities on the farms. • The tractor is specially designed with a powerful engine to run through the rough terrain and carry/pull extremely heavy loads. All these make a tractor effective in the tough farming conditions • A tractor provides many benefits to the farmers like efficient working, as the farmer can get 10x times more output of the results as compared to the work done manually. • It helps the farmers to save time as well as resources which cut down the expenses of farming, this is considered as one of the key success in farming. • A tractor can be used for many multipurpose activities, as it is made tough and durable so that it doesn't face any problem while operating on the farms. Every tractor has different horsepower, which plays the most important in the functioning of the tractor.

  6. Tractor Types Lawn Tractor As its name implies, this tractor is chiefly used for mowing lawns and is fairly limited in terms of power, features and expandability through attachments. If you have a modest-sized lawn to maintain and have an occasional need to move a few supplies around with a small trailer, then a lawn tractor might be all you need. Horsepower: approximately 17 to 22 2. Garden Tractor Generally tougher, larger and more powerful than lawn tractors, garden tractors have significantly more options for installing attachments. With their wider mower decks, you can mow more land in less time, and additional features like hydraulic steering and four-wheel drive give them an edge over lawn tractors when it comes to versatility and adaptability. These tractors are a great choice if you need a lawn mower that will withstand heavy use and give you options for working on other farm projects. Horsepower: approximately 20 to 25

  7. Tractor Types 3. Subcompact Tractor While the smallest of subcompact tractors are similar in appearance to garden tractors, this is where the similarities end: Subcompacts are much more capable for farm chores, and in many cases, the line between the two classifications is roughly divided by the type of engine they contain. Garden tractors tend to have gasoline engines, while subcompact tractors are usually diesel-powered. Many subcompacts are also equipped with PTOs and three-point hitches, making them much more expandable than smaller models; some even have front-end loaders! Horsepower: approximately 20 to 25 4. Compact Utility Tractor The pinnacle of small tractors is the compact utility tractor. While they don’t have quite the same horsepower as a utility model, compact tractors can be equipped with attachments ranging from front-end loaders to backhoes and everything in between. Some even come with four-wheel drive and cabs, making them the perfect option if you’re a serious hobby farmer that needs a powerful, adaptable tractor that will serve you in all weather conditions, even when the going gets tough. While the power of a compact utility tractor is appealing, some jobs might be better-suited to a smaller and more maneuverable lawn or garden tractor. Horsepower: approximately 25 to 65

  11. Things To Consider When Buying A Tractor • How much acreage will you work, and in what types of operations will you need a tractor? These can include yard and/or field mowing, garden tilling, material moving, haying, snow removal, grading, etc. • What is the priority of the tasks in which you wish to engage? For instance, is road grading more important than field mowing? Determining priorities will help whittle down your initial implement purchase list. It will also help your dealer make recommendations on horsepower range, hydraulic capacity and lift capacity to suit your needs. • What is your financial comfort zone? Or, perhaps, another way of looking at this question is to consider what you’re willing to pay as a monthly note. Overall, expect to spend more than $20,000. • Do you anticipate needing the diverse functionality of a loader mounted to the front of your tractor? This will help determine whether you need 4-wheel drive and the hydraulic capacity you require. • What is the smallest area through which you’ll need to navigate your tractor? You might not want to rebuild fences or move buildings to get a larger machine where it needs to go. • Do you need an automatic-like transmission, or are you fine with clutching and shifting? The dealer will take this into consideration when making a recommendation. • How important are heating and air conditioning? Cabs add expense, but also allow you to work harder and longer in any season, in more comfort. • What’s the general reputation of the brand(s) your dealer offers? Also, consider that warranty terms aren’t always an indication of quality. In other words, brands with a longer warranty may not offer the most reliable equipment. • Who among your local dealers is known for the best service? Never underestimate the value of a great dealer nearby that offers a trusted equipment brand and can help solve a problem quickly … or reach you in the field to get you back up and running. • Have you tested out the tractors you’re considering? Ride and decide. Make sure you sit in the seat or, better yet, take it for a drive to make sure the tractor fits you and your needs.
