Cultivation Methods for the Changing Climatic Conditions

The natural environment scenario has been completely changed owing to global warming. The rains have been greatly affected by the increasing levels of pollution. The entire world is going through the crisis of floods and droughts. All these factors have made it impossible to rely entirely on the natural climate for growing crops. A few modern cultivation techniques have made it possible for us to grow plants in controlled conditions. Two of such cultivation methods are polyhouse cultivation and hydroponic system of farming.

  1. Cultivation Methods for the Changing Climatic Conditions The natural environment scenerio has been completely changed owing to global warming. To grow crops through polyhouse cultivation, the natural elements required for the growth of the plants, such as temperature, light and humidity, are monitored and controlled to ensure healthy growth of plants. This feat is achieved with the help of a polyhouse whose inner conditions can be maintained with the help of an automated control system. These polyhouses are incredibly energy-efficient and customizable. The use of this system of cultivation enables the farmers to grow several seasonal crops throughout the year.

  2. Hydroponic farming involves growing of plants without soil. This mode of cultivation replaces soil with a microbe-free and mineral-rich solution or sterile substrates. This solution can be prepared by the farmers themselves or can be bought from the market in ready-made form. Some of the most widely used minerals for this form of cultivation are nitrogen, magnesium and potassium. Hydroponic farming renders the need for land for growing crops redundant. This form of cultivation requires substantially less amount of water than traditional modes of farming. These modern methods of cultivation require some essential equipment and materials which is provided by India’s leading science and technology company- Saveer Biotech Limited. They offer high-quality polyhouses and hydroponic kits. Besides complimenting these methods of cultivation, Saveer also provides trusted and durable laboratory furniture such as glass sashes, reagent shelves, cabinets, worktops and frames. The laboratory furniture is used for teaching and hospitals.
