  2. Piston: A piston can be defined as a cylindrical engine component that slides back and forth in the cylinder bore by forces produced during the combustion process and which acts as a movable end of the combustion chamber. Website:- www.sayaniengg.com

  3. Materials used in Piston: •Piston is made from die- or gravity-cast aluminum alloy as it is lightweight and has good structural integrity. •It reduces the overall mass and force which is necessary to initiate and maintain acceleration of the piston. Website:- www.sayaniengg.com

Types of Rings Used: •Compression Ring – functions to transfer 70% of the combustion chamber heat from the piston to the cylinder wall. •Wiper Ring – functions to provide consistent thickness of oil film to lubricate the running surface of the compression ring. •Oil Ring – Oil ring distributes and regulates oil within the cylinder wall and help scrape it back into the crankcase.
