Lunchboxes of children studying at SCIP Eco School are prepared by local community women. SCIP believes in uplifting the whole community by providing them with free education, healthcare, and work to women. Children are the future of a nation and if children are deprived of basic necessities, the nation’s growth is meaningless. The well-being of children is a major concern and is recognized by many international organizations. SCIP, the non-profit organization is dedicated to improving the lives of children living in extreme poverty. Since 2010, SCIP is providing poverty-ridden children with education, medical, and community support services. Free education is provided to children between ages 5 to 16. SCIP provides special help for children who cannot afford school or are unable to attend school for various reasons. SCIP is an honest charitable project which was

Change Lies In Education Education is a weapon which brings about change in society. That is why SCIP lays great emphasis on free quality education. We are proud to say that we work in partnership with the community. At SCIP School, each child is empowered with strong human and moral values. We teach secularism and the importance of discipline to the children. Each child is born with some unique child; we let the child shine so that they can build their own space in this world. SCIP Eco School Children living in extreme poverty conditions are unable to attend government school because of lack of proper living space, lack of transportation, no parental figure in the family, etc. The reasons can be numerous but the result is common- children get deprived of formal schooling. The SCIP ECO School stands for education, compassion, and opportunity. SCIP School provides education to both boys and girls as we believe in equal opportunities to both genders. The non- profit project currently teaches 70 students, SCIP believes in uplifting the whole community to make a difference in their lives, that’s why SCIP teachers are highly qualified members of the community. SCIP also provides knowledge of nutrition and sanitation to its students. SCIP not only provides free education to the students but also funds classroom facilities, uniforms, stationery, books and lunch to the students. Students are also provided with scholarships to continue their education in public schools. In 2015, fifteen self-motivated ladies attended a sewing class to learn tailoring and stitching. To provide work to ladies of the community SCIP Sews came into existence. When the outfit is sold 100 percent of the money goes to the women. SCIP Clinic We at SCIP understand the role of healthcare in building a disease-free future. SCIP clinic was built with the aim of providing free standard healthcare facilities to the residents of Sector-Four community in Faridabad, Delhi. SCIP strives to better the lives of the community living in the slums of Faridabad. SCIP clinic provides knowledge about health and hygiene so that diseases which occur from the poor hygienic standard of living can be controlled. Regular SCIP projects are conducted to teach health education to the community. Free checkup and medicines are provided to the patients and if need be they are referred to other healthcare professionals. SCIP aims to combat malaria, HIV and other diseases by offering free tests and treatments. To reduce the spread of communicable diseases, SCIP has installed a water pump to provide clean drinking water to the residents of the community. SCIP has monthly immunization project in which vaccines for various diseases is provided free of cost. SCIP provides female-centered health care which also includes prenatal and maternity support. We provide female doctor and nurse so that women feel comfortable and can share any problem with them without hesitation. Once in a year, for three days volunteers conduct a free first Aid course for women. We are proud to say that SCIP clinic has well-trained healthcare providers, currently, we have a GP doctor, optometrist, gynecologist, pharmacist, and laboratory technician.

5. Conclusion We at SCIP believe in making a difference in the lives of people living in the below poverty conditions. By partnering with Global Development Group charity we are continuously working towards our goal of providing free education, free healthcare and empowering women of the community. We involve the community in providing nutritious lunchboxes to the community children studying in SCIP School. We believe with continuous effort and support from the donors we can bring about the change in the lives of not only children but the whole community.
