  2. Priorities RSC East Learning Resources Managers Forum • A core collection of ebooks for FE that are up to date and relevant • More resources for FE • Lower pricing • Targeted communications • Consortia purchasing • More information on access management • Review of Jisc bands

Next steps RSC East Learning Resources Managers Forum Current funding expires end of August 2014, also the ebrary platform agreement and most of the content is due to expire.  • What’s staying? 200 titles were bought outright plus the 50 added last August, which are licensed until August 2015.  • What’s going? Ebrary is finding out from publishers how much they intend to charge for top 20 titles existing collection.  Our aim is to get the best usage and value. 

  4. New ebooks RSC East Learning Resources Managers Forum • When will the new eBooks be available? Publishers and suppliers will submit their bids to Jisc Collections by midday 23 June 2014. Markers will then convene at the Jisc office in London for the selection panel on 10th July.  All the licences will be in place. • The platform Jisc Collections has renewed the agreement with ebrary and will include the most popular titles following a survey of colleges.    Jisc Collections will work closely with you to look at ways to make it as easy as possible.  If you have any concerns or ideas regarding this please do feed them back.

  5. Revision of FE banding RSC East Learning Resources Managers Forum A survey which will seek details, besides overall financial information, to discover more about courses offered at your institutions, the types of learners etc.  A series of workshops in the South East of England, the North of England , Scotland and Wales.  Jisc Collections will be looking for volunteers to attend these meetings, they will be for a maximum of two and half hours with lunch provided.  

  6. New Resources RSC East Learning Resources Managers Forum The Vogue Archive for FE  is available for subscription from the Jisc Collections website. The Vogue Archive contains the full run of past issues (400,000 pages) and is updated monthly with the current issue. The resource accessible free of charge from the publisher's platform until 2017.
