  3. BETHANY SOCIAL SERVICES ALBANIA IN THE EARLY DAYS AND LATER The present office was opened in 2000 on the second floor of Hannah House. The first Bethany office was in this van. The container in the background is indicative of Bethany Social Services’ emphasis on humanitarian work.

Milestones of Bethany Social Services Albania 1991 Humanitarian Aid upgrading hospitals, providing vocational training for politically persecuted, clothing for the poor and life saving health care. 1991 Bethany Social Services started an Emergency Social Work Certificate Program in Tirana University. 1993-94 Building of the Bethany Transitional Group Homes for both abandoned and needy children. Rozafa House The first Hannah House.

  5. 1995 First Bethany Albania adoption to the United States. Name change to Bethany Social Services Albania1996 Opening of Tirana Clinic Counseling established in Tirana Maternity Hospitals1998 First placement in Shepherding Program1999 Kosovo Crises assisting refugees with medical, psycho/social and material needs and establishment of Bethany in Kosovo to aide those who were traumatized. K Kosovo Refugee Camp in Albania Trauma work in Kosovo.

  6. 2000 The new Hannah House opens with accommodation for 70 children, Bethany offices, House Parent apartment, and conference rooms.

  7. We are grateful for the many volunteers that have played a major part in the success of Bethany Social Services. They include doctors, nurses, social workers, teachers, homemakers, students and people from other walks of life.

  8. STRATEGIES FOR INTEGRATED SERVICES . MEDICAL SERVICES: 1.REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, 2.PEDIATRY 3.CARDUIOLOGY 4.CYTOLOGY 5.LAB TESTS PSYCHOLOGICAL, SOCIAL, MEDICAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS ADRESSING CLIENTS NEEDS HOLISTICALLY

  9. BETHANY SOCIAL SERVICES SHEPHERDING PROGRAM DO NOT LET THE ABANDONED PREGNANT MOTHERS LOSE HOPE MEDICAL, SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES WOMEN AND BABIES AT RISK INTEGRATION 100 Pregnant and Abandoned women have received services from the Shepherding Program.

  10. BETHANY SOCIAL SERVICES WORKING IN SCHOOLS AND THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE TAYLOR GRANT • Dealing with issues of low income student families and children who are often orphaned. • Working with parents to improve the school and deal with social issues.
