  3. Welcome to the 2013/2014MSW Experience • Larger applicant pool; 3 applicants for every 1 accepted. • 130 MSW I’s, includes part time (3 year students) • Difficult economic time = stress on campus, in field and after graduation • Great need for the social justice values of the profession

  4. Common Concerns of 1st Year MSW Students • Stress and anxiety about workload • Challenges managing multiple responsibilities • Focus on the future (thesis) rather than present • Unreasonable demands – work, family, school • B average requirement • Writing ability
