Major Developments at IRFU Saclay Since 2011: Leadership, Infrastructure, and Computing Advances

Since 2011, IRFU Saclay has undergone significant transformations, including a new leadership transition with Joël Surget taking charge of the LIS laboratory and future retirements of key personnel. Networking has evolved, highlighted by RENATER's opening of a point of presence at the center and a 10 Gbit/s connection to the LHCOne network in Orsay. Notable advancements in computing resources, such as new Dell servers and the expansion of HPC for astrophysics projects, alongside infrastructure enhancements for improved cooling and storage, mark this period of change.
