  2. What is hearing aid ? A hearing aid is electronic device you can wear in or behind your ear.It makes battery operated device,amplifier,sound,microchip etc that a hearing loss person can listen and communicate easily. Three basic part of hearing aid . • Microphone • Amplifier • Speaker

How does “Hearing Aid” works • A microphone pickup sound from the environment and converts it into an electrical signal, which it sends to the amplifier. • An amplifier increases the sound volume and sends to the receiver. • A receiver changes the electrical signal back into sound and sends it into the ear. • And a battery provides power to the hearing aid.

  5. Styles of hearing aids • Behind-the-Ear(BTE) • In The Ear (ITE) • Completely In The Canal (CIC) • In The Canal (ITC) • Receiver in the Ear (RITE) • Receiver in Canal (RIC) Some hearing aids have been discussed in further slides

  6. Behind-the-Ear(BTE) (BTE) hearing aids include a hard plastic case worn in the back of the ear and connected to a plastic earmold that suits within the outer ear. The electronic elements are held in the case at the back of the ear. • Fits behind the ear • Consists of case,earmold and tube • Sound routed from case to earmold • Mini BTE

  7. In The Ear (ITE) This makes it simpler to listen conversations over the smartphone.ITE aids usually are not worn by young children because the casings need to get replaced regularly because the ear grows. • Easy to adjust • mild to severe hearing loss • completely inside outer ear

  8. In The Canal (ITC) ITC medium size makes them easy to choice push button controls. ITC hearing aids easily fit in the ear canal, smooth insertion and removal, and longer battery life. They work best for mild-to-moderate hearing loss. • Custom fit • ITC models are suitable for mild to moderate hearing losses • Skin tone colors available
