Aims of the programme • To provide an understanding of coaching and its role in improving team members performance • To develop trainees’ skills to perform effectively as workplace coaches • To provide effective and appropriate tools to become effective coaches in the workplace
Structure • 27 guided learning hours plus at least six hours practical coaching activity. • Use of Moodle to prior to session or to support learning • 1 hr group tutorial guidance in July + 1 hr individual one in September • Completion of a 3 parts portfolio
AssessmentEach trainee must complete to a satisfactory standard: • A work-based assignment ( approximately 1,800 words) • A coaching diary recording personal development, coaching practice and reflections on that practice. • Reflection about the overall process and analysis of your strengths and points you need to improve ( approximately 1,000 words)
What about the coachee? • To find a coachee – at work or not. But issue(s)/reason(s) to need coaching has to be work related. • Coaching will only start from mid-June and need to be completed by the end of September to be able to give the portfolio on time. • You can have 1 or 2 coachee(s) to cover the 6 hours (ex: 3hr + 3hr).
