Zhang Heng (25 -220 AD). • Zhang Heng invented an early but efficient seismograph which could detect the direction of an earthquake up to 500 km (310 miles) away.
Sushruta (600 BC) • is considered the father of surgery. • Sushruta demonstrated knowledge of the circulation of blood and lymph and of the arteries. • He connected obesity with heart disorders and diabetes, recommending physical activity in order to cure it. • Sushruta laid the foundation for plastic surgery and related various methods for covering physical defects using skin grafts and other methods
