2. Nivel Inicial Sala 1 “Los Confites” Iniciamos este nuevo mes con mucha alegría y energía, ansiosos de compartir y de disfrutar a pleno cada minuto que pasamos en el jardín. Por eso ya comenzamos a contarles las actividades que estuvimos realizando: - Jugamos con las pelotas de colores, las lanzamos, las pateamos y realizamos variadas acciones con ellas. Luego incorporamos las palanganas y comenzamos a juntar las pelotas, colocándolas en ellas. Realizamos lluvia de pelotas. Que divertido! - Jugamos en el patio del jardín, nos subimos al tobogán y jugamos en el rincón de la casita y en el pelotero. - Nos sentamos en ronda y cantamos canciones como “Saco una manito” y “Pongo una mano aquí”, mientras cada niño imitaba con las manos los movimientos que realizaban las seños. Cuántas cosas nuevas que estamos aprendiendo!! NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011

3. Nivel Inicial Sala 2 “Los Chupetines” Los Chupetinesestuvimostrabajando en nuestroproyecto: “Cajasfantásticas”. Exploramosdiferentescajas, jugamos con ellas, construimostorres, salimos a pasear, nosescondimosadentro y nosdivertimos mucho! Realizamos un mural con cajas de diferentestamañosquepintamos entre todos y quedóhermoso! Preparamosunasorpresaparatodaslasseños en sudía, invitándolas a soñarpor un momento y compartimos con los papás la recetaqueinventamosparaelegir a “la mejormaestra”. Además, disfrazados de cocineros, bailamos y cantamos “La murga de lasseñoritas”. Recibimos a la Primavera con nuestroproyecto: “Jugando con la Primavera” y decoramos el jardín con lasgrullasrealizadaspara el Día de la Paz. La pasamos genial!! NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011

4. NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 Nivel Inicial Sala 3 “Los Caramelos” T.M. Los Caramelos estuvimos descubriendo el mundo de los números: fuimos al kiosco a comprar y armamos el nuestro en la sala donde compramos y vendimos golosinas utilizando monedas. Qué bien calculamos para cuantas golosinas nos alcanzaba! También cocinamos utilizando medidas no convencionales como tazas, cucharadas, potes, etc., siguiendo los pasos de las recetas. Hicimos palmeritas y riquísimos palitos de queso. Armamos dominós para jugar en casa, nos divertimos con cartas, jugando a la “Guerra” y completamos unos fabulosos “Álbumes de figuritas“. Además un día nuestra sala se convirtió en un supermercado donde vivenciamos diferentes roles (comprador, vendedor, repositor, cajero, etc.) QUÉ BUENO APRENDER DIVIRTIÉNDONOS!! It is true we are the youngest at school learning English at the moment, but we are heart and soul on it! Now we are starting to name parts of our bodies: shoulders, knees, toes, head, mouth, nose, ears and eyes are our new acquisitions. We are also great singers! And we are preparing for our open class. Way to go!

5. NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 Nivel Inicial Sala 3 “Los Caramelos” T.T. Hola familias! En este último mes estuvimos confeccionando nuestros propios billetes para jugar en el supermercado que armamos en la sala. Intercambiamos roles: cajero, repositor, cliente. Nos iniciamos en la copia del nombre propio, de los números y en el registro de cantidades. Comenzamos a trabajar sobre los cuadros de Xul Solar. Observamos los colores que utiliza, las imágenes que prevalecen. Trabajamos con los cuadros "Pareja", "Ciuda Lagui" y "Drago", con fibras, témperas y figuras de colores. ¡La pasamos genial! NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 Nivel Inicial Sala 4 “Los Chocolates” Sala 5 “Los Alfajores” Durante estosúltimos dos meses, los chicos de sala 4 y 5 terminamosnuestroproyecto de Dinosaurios con unas super maquetas y con unavisita al Museo de CienciasNaturales, en dondepudimosjugar a ser paleontólogos y buscarhuesos. Nosencantó ser exploradorespor un rato!! Ademáscomenzamos con otroproyecto de juegos, en el queestamosentrando al mundo de los números y estamosarmando y completandounosálbumesespectacularesque pronto verán. En computaciónestamostrabajandodiferentescontenidoscomoreconocimiento de números, letras, formasgeométricas, nocionesespaciales, rompecabezas, etc. Y comosiemprenosencantannuestrasclases de Música y EducaciónFísica!! Hello family! This term was great! We had a lot of fun together! We finished with the unit "My favorite food" from the book "Happy House" and we prepared a fruit salad as a final activity to share with our friends. Also, we learnt two new songs: "My Blue Scooter" and "Sail the boat", new games and we watched a dvd on animals and sounds. But the most important thing is that we are preparing a surprise for you!! 

7. NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 Nivel Inicial Talleres T.T. Sala 4 y Sala 5 COMENZARON LOS TALLERES DEL SEGUNDO CUATRIMESTRE !! Estamos muy contentos compartiendo muchas actividades... En el taller de Cienciastrabajamos con imanes: los pudimospegar, vercómo se atraen y decoramoshermosascaras con virulana con la ayuda de los imanes. En el taller de arte realizamos un posapava con broches y ahoraestamospreparandonuestrospropiosindividuales. Nosencanta! En el taller de cocinanosponemos el delantal y disfrutamos el preparado de muchascosasricas: ensaladas de frutas, pizzetas, palmeritas, galletitas de limón, entre otras… Tambiényaempezamos a prepararnuestrorecetario!! HASTA LA PRÓXIMA!!

8. Nivel Primario 1er Grado Durante el mes de Agostoestuvimostrabajandosobre el proyecto “Aprendiendo con la ciencia”. Trabajamos con la canción “La vaca de Humahuaca” y realizamos, a partir de la lectura de la misma, diferentesrimas. En el área de conocimiento del mundocomparamoslíquidos y sólidos a través de distintosmateriales y cocinamosbombonescomoproducto de nuestroproyectoparaverlasdiferentesmezclas. En el área de matemáticaseguimosavanzandosobre la familia de los números y comocierre de nuestroproyectorealizaremos un “arco de fútbol” con material descartableutilizandomedidas no convencionales y acercándonos a lasconvencionales. NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 Mosquitoes, locusts, rats, bats, crickets… What do you know about plagues? How to fight against them? Don’t panic! 1st form has got all these answers to help you! During these months, we‘ve been working on our project: PLAGUES. Firstly, we formulated a bunch of hypothesis (“A plague? I think it is something related to animals, Clothes?, It is when you have a lot of friends!”) till we got to the final one altogether: A plague is when a set of animals cause damage, to people, plants or other animals. Having done that, we started to think what we should do if we suspect we are going to be exposed to any kind of plague. Children described pictures, made drawings and saw “A bug’s life” to get more ideas. They also created their own T- shirts with newspaper and colored sheets of paper and made mosquito mobiles!! We’ve been very busy, but don´t worry, it was fun! Did we have time for anything else…? Sure! We’ve learnt to speak about our daily routines. We played “Jumping frogs” to show our friends what we do every day before and after school. Let’s keep it up together!

9. Nivel Primario 2do Grado En esta 2º etapa del año, trabajamos en el proyecto “2º agarraviaje” dondevimos los distintosmedios de transporte y aprendimosacerca de la educación vial, culminando con unagranmaquetaquepudieronobservar en el hall del colegio. Ahoraestamoscasifinalizandonuestroproyecto “ Extra, extra, el diario de 2º”, dondetrabajamos con los medios de comunicación. Disfrutamos de la experiencia de enviarunacarta en el correo y observamosdistintaspartes del diario y lasnoticias. En naturalesrealizamosdiversasexperiencias con plantas. Nosencantó! Ahoracomenzamos a trabajar “Los animales”. En matemáticallegamoshasta el 600 y comenzamos a trabajar con la multiplicación y aprendimoslastablas del 2 y del 3!!! Tambiénestamosaprendiendo la hora con nuestrosrelojes y la mitad y el doble. En lenguafinalizamos el cuento “La torre de cubos” y en breveestaremoscomenzandounonuevo. HASTA LA PRÓXIMA!! NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 Having fun with “The body” During this period, children have been introduced to some examples of food from the most important food groups using: pictures, posters, reading stories, playing games, and writing books. We are learning about the importance of developing good habits in health behaviour, and also which food is good for our health and which is not. For this reason, we made The Nutritional Pyramid, and we went to the supermarket too. Children had to role play different dialogues at the shop while choosing food and a variety of different products with a certain amount of money. It was a wonderful experience. And do you want to know where we are getting ready to go now? To a Restaurant. We love food!!

10. Nivel Primario 3er Grado DE VIAJE POR ARGENTINA Los alumnos de 3º gradotrabajaron con mapas de la República Argentina. Primeroaprendieron el nombre y ubicación de cadauna de lasprovincias con suscapitales, luegoinvestigaronsobreaborígenes de nuestropaís y realizaron un mapa con la ubicación de lasdiferentescomunidadesindígenas. Finalmentetrabajaron con los relieves y paisajes de Argentina. Con plastilinas de coloresrepresentaronlasdiferentesalturas de nuestrarepública. Con verdeindicaron la llanura, con amarillolasmesetas, con naranjalasmontañasbajas y con marrón los picosmás altos. Cuántoaprendieron y cómo se divirtieron! Don’t lose your way, 3rd grade has been learning how to give and follow directions. Keeponourtrack!

11. Nivel Primario 4to Grado Los chicos de cuartoinvestigaron los animales a través de distintasfuentesbibliográficas. Los clasificaron en vertebrados e invertebrados. Realizaronobservacionesdirectaspara registrar lascaracterísticas de reptiles, anélidos, peces y artrópodos. Armaron un acuario en el cualrealizan un informeperiódicosobre el estado del mismo y en particular los peces en relación con sumedioambiente. En el área de lenguaprepararonindividualmenteunaexposición oral con soportegráficosobre los animalesestudiados. Porgruposcrearonpoesíasinspiradas en los peces del acuario del aula, teniendo en cuenta la rima, comparación, metáforas, imágenessensorialesparaexpresarsussentimientos de cuidado y amorhacia los peces. NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 The best is yet to come We can´t believe September is here because it means we´re heading towards the end of our 4th school year! This term will be very intense as our big event, the annual fair, is taking place by the end of October, which means we are working very hard on that, collecting information and using authentic material to learn more about the play we will perform. Let me tell you that we have acquired lots of new topics in the subjects we study such as "The Food Chain" or "The Water Cycle" in Science and all types of landscapes, different places to live on Earth and vocabulary related to farmland in Social Studies. We are about to finish our reader ”Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" which is one of the stories in our Literature section and we can´t wait to watch the movie as well. 12. Nivel Primario 5to Grado Los chicos de 5º continuaron construyendo el saber matemático en el aula. En esta etapa lograron apropiarse del contenido “Múltiplos y divisores” a través de la resolución de una gran diversidad de situaciones. En geometría construyeron un sapo en origami para reconocer triángulos y sus propiedades. En lengua finalizaron con la lectura del libro: El nuevo de María Inés Falconi. Luego de la interpretación están elaborando una historieta, que es el tema de este mes. En Cs. Naturales vieron la película Bee Movie para comprender así la polinización. Reconocieron partes de la flor y sus funciones y armaron en grupos distintos germinadores en diferentes ambientes. En Cs. Sociales, se informaron sobre las distintas regiones de nuestro país y realizaron una síntesis para armar trabajos prácticos. NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 When in Rome, do as the Romans do These months we´ve been working on many items. In Use of English we´ve learnt the present perfect, one of the most important tense verbs of the year. We´ve also worked on a project called¨"Roman Towns". The children brought materials and they built different parts of a typical Roman town: the temple, the forum, the termae, the amphiteatre and tombs. We had great fun, worked hard and learnt many new things!

13. Nivel Primario 6to Grado Este últimotiempo los chicos de 6º en Matemáticajugaron con el lenguaje de los símbolosplanteando y resolviendoecuaciones. En geometríaconstruyeronpolígonosregulares e irregulares, analizaronsusángulos, lados y diagonales. En Cs. Naturalesconstruyeron un diario de viaje en el quereconocieronlasrutas del paísanalizandolascaracterísticas de los biomas. Conocieronlasespeciesquehabitanlasregiones y susadaptaciones. En el área de lenguaestuvierontrabajando con infografías! Son textos con información a través de gráficos. Analizarondiferentesinfografías y luego los chicosrealizaronsuspropiasproduccionesteniendo en cuentalastipografías, colores y demáselementos. En el proyectoliterarioyacomenzaron a leer la segundaobra de Pablo Santis! Estavez en grupos de 3 o 4 alumnos y cuandoterminenvolverán a intercambiarse los títulos, asítodosleerán 4 libros. En Cs. Socialescomenzaron a estudiar la ConstituciónNacional, suspartes, finalidad y porquées tan importanteconocerla, respetarla y hacerlarespetar. NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 True work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection. We have entered the minds of the great. Researching for their work, we were able to feel that connection which they intended to establish. Writers, painters, inventors. We have seen how their work has become truly immortal and how the barriers of their time have been broken. Their aim was the attempt at perfection and creation. Their work and passion will be an inspiration in every aspect of our lives. 

14. Nivel Primario 7mo Grado Los chicos de 7º, duranteestetiempotrabajamos en el proyecto “los seresvivos se multiplican”. Mediante la investigaciónanalizamoslasformas de reproducción sexual y asexual de los animales y plantas. Armamos un centro de reproducciónvegetativadondetenemoscebollas, ajos y plantasquepuedenoriginarotrasmediantegajos. En el área de matemáticaconstruimosfigurasanalizandosuselementos, comparando y observando los ángulos y aplicando la relaciónpitagóricapara resolver incógnitas. En el área de lengua comenzamos a trabajar con “El teatro”, leeremos diferentes obras e investigaremos sobre algunos autores más relevantes de la literatura Argentina. También armaremos una pequeña obra de la cual pronto tendrán noticias. Tenemos una nueva sección en esta área ya que estamos trabajando con “Técnicas de estudio”, muy importante para la próxima etapa de nuestras vidas que ya se acerca… En Cs. Sociales, al igual que 6º, estamos trabajando con los derechos y obligaciones de todos nosotros. Este año juramos la Constitución y por eso es tan importante conocerla, respetarla y hacerla valer. NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble. The supernatural, evil laughter, potions, spells, toads, people sent by the devil, WITCHES! All this was part of the daily life of an ordinary person from the 17th century. With the urge to learn more and the excitement over the themes that this century offers us, we find ourselves captivated and intrigued. We hung posters such as they did during the “WITCH HUNT” that Matthew Hopkins had started. Witch hunts took place between 1645 and 1647. Hold on to your hats and keep close as we dig deeper and deeper into English History. MACDEATH: 7Th- form students have been reading Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, discussed the main character’s personality and heroic acts, as well as Lady Macbeth’s, but their expectations regarding heroism have been dashed by the now-seemingly ruthless Macbeth, which students have come to name Macdeath. We invite students from other courses and parents to read the play and tell us if you agree with us!

15. Nivel Institucional Spelling Olympics 2nd to 7th form held their yearly competition between August 15th and 18th . With a wide variety of activities each group practised and studied hard for the final. After all productions were corrected we organized the Award Cermony where diplomas, badges and recognitions of merit were handed to a number of students. Everybody was anxious about the results and generous with the clapping for the winners. It really was a warm closure with photographs included! NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011 Tutorías Los alumnos de 6º y 7º se juntaron con sus ahijados y les regalaron una“zapatilla” realizadaartesanalmenteporellosparaque los máschicosaprendan a enhebrar los cordones y atarsesolitos. Quedaronmuycoloridas y divertidas!! Día de la Paz y Primavera Para celebrarestedía, el 21 de septiembre los chicos de sala 4, 5 y 7º salieronpor el barrio a repartirgrullascomomensaje de paz. Además, los máschiquitos del jardín, (sala 1, 2 y 3), plantaronflores en la entrada de la escuelaparafestejar la llegada de la Primavera!!

16. Nivel Institucional SPORTS Año tras año todas las familias del Master concurren a este día tan esperado en el Centro Asturiano para compartir el almuerzo y una tarde de actividades y juegos con sus hijos. Nos divertimos muchísimo!! NOTIMASTER | AGOSTO– SEPTIEMBRE 2011
