  4. 7 Blog Writing Tips for Overcoming Blogging Burnout 1. Take time to brainstorm. The first tip for combatting blogging burnout is to go on a walk or find a quiet corner in your office and just brainstorm. Brainstorming allows you to immerse yourself in creative thought, and even helps you think outside of the box when it comes to developing new ideas. 2. Read something. You may not be able to take time out of your work day to dive into a book or articles, but reading is an excellent way to source new ideas and overcome burnout. Determine the books or digital content platforms—such as Business2Community—that will help you further your education on topics you’re interested in. Then, read everything you can. 3. Identify when you’re most inspired. Figuring out what time of day you’re most inspired to create new content will go a long way in helping you maximize your creativity. Luckily, science can help! An article from Buffer explains that the best time to write is early in the morning and the best time to get new ideas is right after waking. But developing a consistent writing schedule might be even more effective, as writer Kevan Lee (@kevanlee) also goes on to explain: 4

  5. 7 Blog Writing Tips for Overcoming Blogging Burnout “Turns out, creating a consistent writing routine and idea habit could be just as good as searching for the best time of day. If your habitual time don’t sync with the advice above, at least be sure that your writing and brainstorming happen consistently”. (Source: Buffer) Next, these blog writing tips will help you tackle each and every post on your plate. 5

Invite another knowledgeable person within your industry—or one with expertise that complements your own—to contribute to a post you’re creating. Or, to minimize the amount you’ll need to write further, ask them to write a guest post. This will benefit you both—you’ll have a blog post off of your plate and the guest bloggerwill have created additional content they can link to and promote. 5. Transform old content into new formats. That eBook you wrote a while back? Break it down into five unique blog posts. That PowerPoint presentation you gave last week? Turn it into a Slideshare and embed it into your blog. It’s easy to rework older pieces of content into blog posts, and it takes much less time than sourcing entirely new ideas. Aaron Agius (@IAmAaronAgius) wrote a great post that details how to create 50 engaging pieces of content from a single blog post that you can check out for even more ideas. 6

  7. 7 Blog Writing Tips for Overcoming Blogging Burnout 6. Source ideas from your audience. Crowdsourcing—or the sourcing of ideas from your audience or “crowd”—is a great way to get new topic and content ideas that you know your readers want to read about. It’s also a fun way to interact with your blog audience, and they’ll appreciate being included in the creation process. For more tips, check out our blog post on content crowdsourcing. 7
