Call for Papers has produced over 145 submissions that will be reviewed by conference committee members . • Final selections will be made at the next face to face meeting at the venue March 4-5, 2010 • Responses to each submittal both; accepted or rejected and why • Registration opens early April 2010

  6. Conference Content • Educational Learning Paths Follow OMBOK Framework Aligns to the Strategic Objectives of APICS Concentrated effort into non traditional areas • Advanced level and general to specific educational opportunities • Reaching out to Hospital, Service and Hotel industries

  7. Learning Paths • Global Supply Chain • Operations Planning and Controls • LEAN • Professional Advancement Executive S&OP track strongly considered Recommendation to start plan for 2011 event. Planting the seeds on the value of APICS Education and BOK

  8. Objectives • 40% of sessions should be advanced topic/content • 10% First time APICS speakers/practitioners • At least one SERVICE oriented session within each learning path • Raise attendance through awareness and marketing with channel partners around the world

  9. GOALS Increase number of paid attendees 2010 target 1050.....committee target2000 Provide networking opportunities and panel discussion to engage participants Positive financial return to APICS Delighted customers and attendees

  15. STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE • MISSION: a. To provide seating capacity to cover 80% of the projected paid attendees. • GOAL: a. Arrange plant tours that have alignments to the educational learning paths. b. Secure 28/30 Educational Plant Tours.

  16. 8 MAJOR ACTION STEPS • Establish Tour Teams. • Identify potential tour companies. • Perform company assessments. • Team face-to-face mtg. (3/4) vote of selection. • Prepare co. write-up—”what will you see”. • Face-to-face mtg. with host companies. • Execute—October conference. 8. Post evaluations—goal 4.0 rating.

HOW THE TEAM OPERATES • Operate with 2/3 team members. • Teams formed based on their area of expertise and Learning Paths they selected. • We had two face-to-face meetings. • We hold conference call every 2/3 weeks. • First tour focus was on companies with high profiles/recognized by APICS attendees. 6. Narrowed the first list from 66 to 14.

  18. PROFILE OF TEAM MEMBERS • Have a team of 25 members. • 14/25 are reliable doer’s-get the job done. 3. All members are APICS members MITE chapter. • Very diversity mix of professionals. • Each team members select the company they want to contact and work with. • We have no one with an ego that tries to dominate the process. a. Everyone knows their role.
