  2. What you'll learn. • You’ll learn to evaluate expressions using the order of operations.

  3. When am I ever going to use this? • Example • Knowing the order of operations will help you find the total cost of adults’ and children’s admissions to the zoo.

  4. Memorize Rules • Number 1 - Do all operations within group symbols first. • This includes parenthesis and brackets.

  5. Memorize Rules • Number 2 - Work all problems that have exponents. Begin from Left to Right.

  6. Memorize Rules • Number 3 - Multiply or Divide (which ever comes first from Left to Right).

  7. Memorize Rules • Number 4 - Add or Subtract (which ever comes first from Left to Right).

  8. Thought of The Day • Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally! • This will help you learn the order of operations.
