  2. What’s Christmas? It is a Christian holiday which is almost celebrated on 25th of December. Only in orthodoxy countries like Russia it is celebrated on 7th of January. The holiday is known as the birth of Jesus Christ .

  3. The birth of Jesus He was born in Bethlehem by the Virgin Mary. When the God’s son was born an angel came to tell the people about the birth of the one who will save them. Then a big star appeared in the sky. It was a big miracle and it was named The Bethlehem star.

  4. Traditions Christians celebrate Christmas in many ways. In some Christian denominations, children perform plays re-telling the events of the Nativity, or sing carol, people trade presents each other, decorate their houses and special Christmas tree.

  5. Santa Claus Many people connect Christmas with Santa Claus. According to the Bible he is a Christian’s saint. In nowadays, mostly the kids think that on the night before Christmas, he comes and put down presents under the Christmas tree.

  6. Christmas tree Like Santa Claus, the Christmas three is an important symbol of the holiday. People can decorate it in many ways – with special toys and special lamps.

  7. Traditions in Bulgaria In Bulgaria we have some traditions which are different from the other countries. For example, in some of the villages the young man start to sing Christmas songs, go around the houses and the village and them are given things like food, money .
