Notional Hours 12 Topic Specification: RE413 Impact of information technology Learning Activities Assignment Description Topic assessment criteria Use Multi media WHAT • The assessor will observe and confirm that learners: • Understand the integration of different “IT” fields and the future technological expectations • Understand impact of IT on aspects such as privacy, intellectual property rights and the information explosion • Understand how IT is currently restructuring society and values in society • Understand the importance of ergonomic computer workstations • Are able to arrange a computer workstation according to own ergonomics Group discussion to identify the role of IT in the world Attend a short lecture in the computer centre where the importance of ergonomic computer workstations will be discussed and demonstrated. Learners use exercises to hone their skills.
