  2. Teaching Career • Mr. Henry has been teaching for over thirteen years, beginning in 1997. • He spent seven of these years teaching at Larkspur Middle and then moved to Princess Anne Middle where he has been teaching for the last six years. • Fun Fact: While at Larkspur he worked with my cousin Chris, his best friend.

  3. Education • Mr. Henry earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Virginia Tech • He later went on to earn his Master’s Degree, also in History, from Old Dominion University.

  4. Other Jobs Before Teaching Like a normal kid, during his teen years Mr. Henry worked various jobs; none that important. For eighteen years Mr. Henry has worked at an oceanfront shop along with his job as a teacher.

  5. Other School Obligations Mr. Henry has worked a number of various number of school activities including . . . • Coach of the Softball Team (present) Sister was on the team. • Academic Challenge Coach (present) • Vice President of the PTA • Soccer, debate and track coach

  6. Favorite/Least Favorite Part of Teaching Mr. Henry’s favorite part of teaching is the subject itself that he teaches and being able to break it down to where his students are able to understand it and then build on it Mr. Henry’s least favorite part of teaching is dealing with school administration officials who have not been in the classroom for over ten years but still feel they have the authority to tell how a classroom should be run. He also doesn’t like the general lack of appreciation for teachers as a whole.
