  1. WATER RESOURCES AND WASTE WATER MANAGEMENT PRESENTED BY: D.Janardhan Reddy U.PRIYANKA

  2. INTRODUCTION: • Water resources are potentially useful to humans • Fresh water is a renewable resource • Awareness of the global importance of preserving • water

  3. TYPES OF WATER RESOURCES • There are three types of water resources •  Salt water resources • Surface water resources •  Ground water resources

  4. Salt water Resources: • Saltwater resources are also useful ion generating the hydroelectric energy

  5. Surface Water Resources: • Surface water is water in a river, lake or wetlands • Surface water is very important because its 98% is used in the industry for manufacturing goods Surface Water Resources Ground water resources

  6. Ground water resources: • Ground water are fresh in nature • Ground water divided into two zones i.e. • saturated and unsaturated

  7. WASTE WATER MANAGEMENT: • Field of handling waste water for suitable purposes • Advanced Immobilized Cell Reactor technology to recycle waster water • Treatment of domestic waste water

  8. WORKING:- • Oxidation happens in a single reactor • Wastewater is supplied in the form of • compressed air from the bottom of the reactor • It reduces BOD by 94%, COD by 90% and • sulfide by 100%.

  9. BENFITS: * 25% lower plant cost * 50% lower operating costs * 50% lower maintenance costs * 90% less sludge production

  10. CONCLUSION: • Optimum use of water resources • A closer look into all of the fields of • water resources
