Collaborative DDX Workshop on Bloody Stool Diagnosis

Join us for an interactive session focused on the differential diagnosis of bloody stool. Participants will engage in a hands-on activity where they will pick up slips of paper containing various diagnoses and descriptions. Work together with peers to determine the most fitting diagnosis for today's case and rank it among potential differentials.   1. Working on Ddx of bloody stool • Pick up a slip of paper containing either: • Diagnosis • Description of a diagnosis • Find the person holding the missing piece • Think, pair, share! • Work together, you will be asked if your diagnosis fits today’s case

  2. Rank the differential • Choose where you want your diagnosis to fall on the differential [1 to 16] • Is your spot already taken? • Bump it out of the way!

  3. Did you think of these? • Foreign body • NG or GT • Neutropenic colitis (Typhlitis) • CMV colitis if immunocompromised • Trauma • Hematobilia • Dieulafoy lesion
