  1. Features: - The Game Boy was the first handheld system to be able to play over 650 games including the first Pokémon and Tetris games. Developed in 1989 by GunpeiYokoi – Nintendo. Nintendo Game Boy After the successful launch of the Nintendo NES gaming system, the Game Boy took Nintendo to a whole new level of sales and popularity amongst teenagers and children the world over. The original Gameboy with its obsolete functions and features including its 8-bit Z80 CMOS (4.19MHz) processor, 8KB of RAM memory and its 4 color screen (Grayscale) became an instant worldwide hit for children and teenagers around the world. The Game Boy works in a very simple way. The gamer places a game into the device’s game slot and launches it by switching the power button to, “on.” The Game Boy was the first of the long line of hand-held video gaming systems by Nintendo which have been highly profitable. After being released in Japan in 1989, the Gameboy became popular, very fast. Over 32 million Gameboys were sold within the first three years of its release, this being only one year since it had reached the United States. The Game Boy’s original features were state of the art at the time of its release, however, comparing it to modern systems, every feature of it is outdated.
