  2. Task • Convert a paper you have written • Use visuals • Only put MAIN points on slides • Use facts/ statistics • Engage your audience • Don’t Read paper or slides—present them • Make eye contact • Don’t say “um” or argue with audience • Do not touch face or hair during presentation

Tips/ Guidelines • Dress appropriately • Invite response during your presentation (ask for questions ) • Add a bit of humor (not sarcasm) • Slow down (take a breath---dramatic pauses) • Proofread carefully (NO misspelled words) • Be consistent (fonts/ capitalization/ punctuation) • Pay attention to the timing of your slides • Finish on time!
