  4. Writing Workshop • Each day students have daily practice recording life events through the writing process. • Prewriting • Revising • Editing • Publishing

  5. Reading & Writing Workshop Structure • Mini-Lesson • Independent Reading/Writing • Conferencing • Partner Work • Goal of Workshop: • Build stamina • Work with students on individual levels

  7. Homework • Expected to be returned the next day unless otherwise noted • Should be done independently and then checked by an adult • Write me a note or an email letting me know if your child had difficulty with the homework

  12. Birthdays and Snack • Due to the Nutrition Policy adopted by the LBOE, all birthday treats must: • Not contain sugar as the first ingredient • Not contain more than 8 grams of fat • Not be more than 2 grams of saturated fat
