  6. Consequences • Consequences • Warning- pay class cash • Broken agreement (4th) • Parent contact- Office Referral Form • Principal- Office Referral Form

  7. Attendance Tardiness- disrupts the class during valuable learning time, and could make a child feel uncomfortable. Absences -Create more stress on a child, because missing assignments need to be completed. Not completing the assignments result in lowered grade, or incomplete grade.

  12. Grading For 4thgrade is the first year of letter grades. Science/Math/Reading/Conventions: • 70% Assessments and Projects • 20% Classwork • 10% Homework

  13. Grading Continued Social Science/Writing: • 80% Assessments and Projects • 20% Classwork

  14. Daily Homework • Assigned Monday and written in their planners • Math - Assigned daily • Spelling - Assigned daily • Reading - Assigned daily • Grammar/ - Assigned weekly Conventions

  15. Other Homework • Assigned Monday and written in their planners 4) Science - Assigned weekly 5) Social Science - Assigned varies • Writing - 2 assignments a month. This includes writing, typing, and revising.

  16. Monthly Homework • Assigned early in the month and written in their planners 7) Projects/Reports – per trimester 8) Health - none

  17. Parent Volunteers Please review and fill out the hand out. * Clerical help- times slots are flexible * Math tile groups- Thursday mornings 8-9 * Parties and Field Trips- as needed
