Odysseus and the Trials of Aeolus and Circe

Odysseus and his crew arrive at the Aeolian island, where Aeolus offers a bag of winds to aid their journey home, but his men’s greed leads to disaster. After losing the winds, they sail to the land of the Laestrygonians, who welcome them with hostility. Next, they reach Aeaean Island, home of the sorceress Circe. Divided into teams, Odysseus sends men to investigate, but only Eurylochus returns, warning of Circe's dangers. With Hermes' assistance, Odysseus confronts Circe, ultimately finding himself trapped in a year-long liaison as he longs for home.

  2. Ody and his men arrive at Aeolian island

  3. I like you, and Poseidon’s a poop. Take this bag of wind. It will bring you home Oh yeah, and don’t open the bag for any reason! Aeolus Likes Ody and wants to help him

  4. Ody’s men mess everything up

  5. A man like you must be cursed. Go away before you break something! Aeolus refuses to help a second time

  6. The men then sail to laestrygonian land

  7. King antiphates doesn’t give them a warm welcome

  8. Ody and his men make their way to Aeaeian Island, home to Circe

  9. You guys go investigate. We’ll stay here and set up camp. Whatever you say, boss. Team Ody Team Eurylochus Ody splits his men into two groups: team ody and team eurylochus

  10. She be craycray! I’m out! Team eurylochus meet circe; eurylochus escapes

  11. Ody’s on a mission to save his men. Hermes helps him with a moly flower

  12. I’m immune to your wiles. Why aren’t these spells working? Now I’ll have to kill you No, don’t kill me. We can work something out . . . Sleep with me? I’d be ok with that Ody follows hermes’ instruction

  13. Ok. Baby, this is cool and all, but I think I’m gonna go. . . Spends a year as circe’s lover before deciding he wants to go home
