  3. International Wedding Customs Czechoslovakia: Peas are thrown at the newlyweds instead of rice Bermuda: Islanders top their wedding cakes with a tiny sapling. This is then planted in their garden at home to watch grow throughout their marriage

  4. Cont.’ France: Guests bring the flowers and drink from the “coupe de marriage” Fiji: Groom presents bride’s father with a tabua (whales tooth)

  5. Cont.’ England: Spider in dress = good luck! Morocco: Women take a milk bath before wedding to purify themselves
