Angela Mortimer • Winner of a European Women of Achievement Award in the Entrepreneur section in July 2003 • Angela Mortimer is the founder and Chairman of one of Europe’s most successful recruitment consultancies, Angela Mortimer plc. Established in 1976, her Company currently employs approximately 200 staff in offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Paris, and Brussels. Angela Mortimer plc specialises in the recruitment of top office support staff, with clients from Europe’s best-known organisations and covering every major industry sector. The company has bettered the careers of nearly 200,000 individuals since its foundation. • In 1995, in recognition of her company’s outstanding contribution to business life, Angela was made a Freeman of the City of London. Angela is an international lecturer, delivering lectures helping women understand social and employment trends in order to achieve personal objectives. In 1996, she joined the Council of the European Management Assistants Network, where she serves as an Affiliate Council Member for International Employment Consultants. • Angela is a patron and founder sponsor of the National Youth Ballet with an involvement motivated by the desire to support women, youth and excellence. She is affiliated to not-for-profit organisations in the capacity of Consultant on placing graduates abroad. Since 1999, Angela has been involved with the International Centre for Prison Studies, where she councils prison governors. More recently she was re-elected to the Confederation of British Industries Small and Medium sized Enterprises and The London Council of the Confederation of British Industry.
