  2. A is for Ability Lucy has the ability to complete the tasks and look forward because of her support system, Zach and family.

  3. B is for Baby The long-anticipated Scarborough baby is finally on the way.

  4. C is for Cottage In a seaside cottage, Lucy and Zach confronted the elfin king.

  5. E is for Eighteen E is for Eighteen At the age of 18, Lucy gets pregnant and has to make sacrifices for herself and the baby.

  6. F is for Fairytale Lucy has never heard of such a strange thing, like a family curse, other than in fairytales. Now it is part of her life.

  7. G is for Girl G is for Girl Every girl in the Scarborough family goes on to have a baby girl.

  8. H is for Hope Hope, the only stable thing Lucy has left in her life.

  9. I is for Impossible Lucy must complete three impossible tasks to save herself and her unborn child.

  10. K is for King For thousands of years, the elfin king has ruled a majority of the Scarborough girls’ life.

  11. L is for Lucy Lucy, the main character in the book, has nine months to complete three impossible tasks.

  12. M is for Motherhood At the age of 18, Lucy changes from being a normal teenage girl to being a mother.

  13. O is for Optimistic For the hundreds of years that the Scarborough family has suffered, Lucy is determined to break the curse. With Zach and her family by her side, Lucy is sure she will be able to figure things out.

  14. P is for Plowing As Lucy’s last impossible task, she must plow, and plow, and plow; using a wheel barrow to help her along the way.

  15. Q is for Question Lucy always has this question in the back of her mind, “Will I solve these three impossible tasks?”

  16. R is for Revenge Revenge is the only thing that Zach can think of, getting revenge on the person who made his future family’s life so difficult.

  17. S is for Seamless As Lucy completes the first of the three impossible tasks, she steps back and looks at the seamless shirt, or more like vest, that she has created.

  18. T is for Time Time is a key factor as it plays a part in the Scarborough girls’ lives now and back, hundreds of years ago.

  19. U is for Unknown Unknown is the fate for which Lucy will face; will she go crazy, or will she beat the curse.

  20. V is for Value Lucy values her sanity, which pushes her harder to complete the tasks.

  21. W is for wrath The Elfin King’s wrath increases as Lucy completes her tasks.

  22. X is for XX XX is the gene of Lucy’s baby, she knew long before the ultra sound.

  23. Y is for Young At such a young age, Lucy and Zach have to grow up and take on responsibilities that the been passed onto them because of the Scarborough family curse.

  24. Z is for Zach Zach has always been Lucy’s childhood friend, but now he is going to be much more, a father.
