  2. Background information on the New York Yankees The team colors are blue and white. Their stadium is located in the Bronx, NY and it called Yankee Stadium. The Yankees had a mascot from 1979 to 1981 named Dandy, but he was a short-lived. The team has been in existence for 109 years. Their record from last season is 95-67.
