The useful properties of these two elements are that they are both gases and they are both non-reactive so there is no worry when working with them. • By confining these elements to small spaces they can produce a number of useful products. • For example Neon can be used as a Refrigerant, Display lights, Television tubes, wave meter tubes,and Gas Lasers • For example Xenon can be used in Nuclear reactors, Strobe lamps, Electron tubes, Hyper white Head lights for your car, and it is also used as a gas for ion engines
Xenon Uses • Xenon is used to brighten headlights from the normal halogen bulb. Xenon is also used for the big lights that you see in the sky when something special is going on.
Neon uses • Neon is mainly used to make neon advertising signs. Such as the one below, but liquid neon has been used in the cryogenic refrigerant, because it has over 40 times the refrigerant power than liquid helium and three times the refrigerant than hydrogen.
