Important people. By:Sabrina. Paul Revere 1734-1818. Paul Revere lived in Boston, Mass. It was hard because he lived when Great Britain ruled the 13 colonies. He joined the club ‘Sons of liberty’. They believed the colonies should be free from Great Britain.

  2. Paul Revere1734-1818 • Paul Revere lived in Boston, Mass. It was hard because he lived when Great Britain ruled the 13 colonies. • He joined the club ‘Sons of liberty’. They believed the colonies should be free from Great Britain. • Paul Revere got caught trying to worn people. • People in Boston began to boycott.

  3. Fredrick Douglass1818-1895 • He lived in Maryland he was enslaved- he can’t learn. • The more he read the more he wanted freedom. • He escaped on a train and went to New York City he had to make sure no one came back to get him to make him a slave again.

  4. = Susan B. Anthony1820-1906 Susan went to a guaker church Susan was a teacher but she complained so she got fired. Court made Susan pay $100.00 but she said, ” NO” I’m against slavery She went to jail because she complained

  5. Franklin D. Roosevelt1882-1945 He had a wealthy family. At age 39 he could not walk because he got a dezez called polio He married Eleanor Roosevelt his cousin He worked out to help his legs.

  6. Eleanor Roosevelt1884-1962 • Eleanor’s dad told her to be brave. • Eleanor was called FDR’s eyes and ears. • Eleanor gave many speeches. • Eleanor was a very shy child. • Eleanor served food to the poor. • Eleanor was married to Franklin Delano Roosevelt and became the fist lady.

  7. Mary McLeod Bethune1875-1955 • As a child she was not able to go to school. • She was not aloud to read. • She was born in a log cabin. • When Mary was born slavery had ended.

  8. Lyndon B. Jonson1908-1973 • He was a Texas senate in 1984. • He created the great society . • The great society helped the poor. Example: Food, Shelter, and clothing. • He still couldn't vote if he did he would have to take a test.

  9. Thurgood Marshall1908-1991 • He was African American. • He was born in Baltimore Maryland. • He was child in segregation. • He went to Lincoln university. • He memorized the constitution. • Marshall grew up in a time when laws were limited for African Americans .

Johnson • President for six years. • President during WWII • Created the New Deal. • The New Deal helps bridges , schools , parks , libraries , dams ,roads , and airports. Both Were presidents Wanted to help. They both were presidents during a war. They both had cooperation.

  11. Cesar Chavez 1927-1993 • 8th grade was his last grade. • He moved from farm to farm to farm. • He made money by working on a farm. • Worked with the (CSO) Community Service Organization. • He became the leader of the (CSO) • He was a Mexican American.

  12. My Favorite important Person • ELEANOR • ROOSEVELT • I love Eleanor because she reminds me of my gymnastics coach Mrs.Eleanor. • Plus her dad tells her to be brave and strong just like my dad does.
