Why EVG… • Because they are transforming even a single drop into something useful… • Handicap web site support: 10’ a day of 2 people transformed into 40.000 accesses to our web site and 450 e-mail of help-support exchanged • Transforming plastic Bottle caps into water for Tanzania people: 81500 cups (163 Kg) collected up to now • Unused VHS from ESRIN Video Club to a charity association (Edutainment of people in need) EVG General Assembly 2007

  4. Why EVG… • Because I feel I have got a lot and I want to give something to others… • Collecting and distributing funds for thousands of € • Supporting more than 10 stable initiatives • Involving over 50 ESRIN People EVG General Assembly 2007

Why EVG… • Because I am looking for a reliable organisation, delivering directly the help to the people in need without wasting it on the way… • Another year of activity (since 1995) • 100% of funds are devolved (no overhead) • EVG Members are directly delivering the goods to the people in need EVG General Assembly 2007

Why EVG… • Because I feel appreciated for what I can give… • People from all around Europe are part of EVG, regardless of role, gender, culture, competencies, availability • Any contribution and idea is welcome • We only ask commitment to bring forward what you want to offer EVG General Assembly 2007

  7. Why EVG… • Because my support is needed… • 10 Associations are continuously supported • 15 Exceptional events have been supported • We are only a few really “active”: the contribution of everyone is needed EVG General Assembly 2007

Why EVG… • Because I believe that the culture of “giving for free” is the only way forward… • Each of us is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would not exist without all the drops… • We cannot resolve all problems in the world, but we may resolve at least some, and for the people we help, these are the solution… EVG General Assembly 2007

  9. Why EVG… • Because… “Why Not ?” • We may give the example: if everyone will take us as an example, many problems in the world could disappear • Let’s be the first, and not the last! EVG General Assembly 2007
