  1. What kind of milk is best for you? The very well-known fact about milk is – it is the best source of calcium and other than that, it contains a lot of essential elements and protein, important in development and maintenance of our body. Along the same lines, it improves our teeth, helps our body to intake vitamins and pays the pathway for rehydration. That is the only reason that our well-maintained diet plan should have milk in it. Moreover, milk deficiency in the diet plan causes anemia, osteoporosis, and other severe illness, so it is crucial not to bypass the nutritional value of milk at large. From keeping bone healthy to preventing severe heart diseases, milk is also a cancer controlling and depression-reducing agent. Since the cow milk is one of the widely consumed beverages, there are two milk types to consider: 1) A1 Milk Type and 2) A2 Milk Type. Let us iron out the differences, and which milk type is the best than the one: In biological terms, the only difference between A1 and A2 Milk Type is based on the type of beta-Casein present. So, before understanding what Beta-Casein is, let’s study what are the milk contents: Irrespective of milk types, the milk consists of water and milk solids. Therefore, milk solids consist of protein, fat, lactose and minerals. Let’s break down the protein content: Protein comes with Caseins and Whey protein. Here we are – all we wanted to see was Casein content in milk. Now, Casein content consists of Alfa, Beta and Gamma Casein, and A1 and A2 Milk Types are the part of Beta Casein. It is the time to discuss what Beta-Casein is, and which Casein type is important for our health. What is Beta-Casein? Beta-Casein is the protein content which is just 30% of total protein content in cow’s milk. Since it is a food source, it is being used widely. It serves with amino acids, carbohydrates and two other essential elements such as calcium and prosperous. Let’s dive more in-depth to understand why Beta-Casein type or content is essential and why: Beta-Casein is a complete chain of almost 209 amino acids, so the milk type is determined on basis of beta- Casein structure.

  2. Here is the magic: Proline gets formed at 67th position of 209 amino acid chain, and we can consider it to be A2 Milk as it is prepared because of the strong bond, and the entire reaction prevents the formation of BCM7 at the end. In the same way, when Histidine allows the formation of BCM7 during digestion, that Histidine helps become milk to be A1 Milk Type. Conclusion: Therefore, to cut the long technical story short, the Proline possessed milk is called “Stomach-approved” milk (A2 Milk) which is quite natural and healthy than A1 milk. This milk type helps our body to fight digestive diseases, diabetes, cholesterol issues and so on, and more importantly it improves our immunity to a great degree.
