Sungard drops B7 support 4/30/2011 (was 9/2/2010) Update Character set to support international standards/formats Prepares the platform for Banner 9 and beyond What? Banner – mainly just updating the character set of the database O/S and Oracle upgrades ODS is already on v8 All 3rd party apps are being investigated for compatibility Appworx and Luminis Very few new features How? 6 test migrations (was 5) Using newer server architecture that better supports D/R & resource man. Who? IT and key functional “testers” When? Review Migration Timeline Current “Go Live” target is October 11th, 2010 (was April 21st, 2010)

  3. Banner 8 Migration Planning Testing • Test data sets • Processes/Cycles to be tested • Reports • Interfaces • Integration with external systems • Local modifications • Final departmental sign-off • Each functional area responsible for creation and execution of test plans

  4. Banner 8 Migration Planning Migration Timelines • Two Banner 8 systems now available (no 3rd parties) • BNR8 as of 7/20/09. Online 8/18/09 • BNR82 as of 10/2/09. Online 11/21/09 • 3rd BPPRD as of 12/3/09. Arriving 2/10/10 • Add Appworx 2/22/10 • Add Luminis 3/22/10 • 4th BTEST – 5/6/10 • 5th BSTEST – 6/7/10 • 6th BEUTR – 8/18/10 • Production “Dress Rehearsal” • Requires a timed verification • PROD – 10/11/10 • Begin: System down 5:00pm Friday 10/8/10 • Before releasing, will clone to BPPRD by 9:00am • BPPRD will be opened to select persons for validation (can run updates if need be)
