What is computer animation • Computer animation is a simulation of movement created by either pictures or frames. • Computer animation is one of the big parts of multimedia presentations. • Computer animation is used more because it is easier to physically control such as using figures or models.

  3. history • Computer animation was developed by Edward E Zajac, Frank W Sinden, Kenneth C Knowlton, and Michael Noll in the 1960’s. • The first movies that used computer animation were Westworld, and futureworld which were in 1973. • The first feature length computer animation movie was in Toy Story which came out in 1995. • Nowadays most movies use computer animation.

  4. Development equipment • Good animation can be created by the most basic programs. • The part that takes the most work is rendering • Computer animation in a movie can take from one to five years of work • A piece of equipment they use is called a workstation and it has two – four processors which makes it much more powerful than a home computer.

  5. Future of computer animation • The future of computer animation might not be all good. • In the future, characters will become more realistic and some viewers can get a little frightened. • Some people may feel creped out when viewing life like computer animated characters.
