  2. IT Career Description • Animators are the creative people behind all moving cartoon movies • They manipulate still pictures to make the picture look like it’s moving • Animators salaries can range anywhere from $25,000 to $100,000 plus, depending on which company you work for

  3. Interesting Facts about this IT Career • The first motion picture studio was developed by Thomas Edison and his engineer, W.K. Dickson in 1893 • Animators are responsible for not only the movements of characters, but also for the textures and shadows • There are several animation job types: 2D(flat) designers, 3D (dimensional) designers, storyboard designers, layout artists, and most start out as “Inbetweeners”

  4. Skills Required for this IT Career • Very good drawing skills • Be able to figure out how animated objects should look • Understand how original animations are created • When applying for jobs in this field, you will probably need a drawing portfolio
