God’s Kingdom Is Relational Father God & Son Jesus; • It’s a relational example for us to follow God is our Father, and we are His Children Families & Ministries prosper when they stay within the context of father, mother, and family type relationships Families & Ministries suffer and relationships are destroyed when you go outside of the relationship context (Malachi 4:6) Restoring Hope in our Community Through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

  4. Significance of Father/Son Relationships Father/Son words in the Bible (NIV 1984) • Father – 1,373 • Son – 2,630 Total = 4,003 for 2 father/son relational words Restoring Hope in our Community Through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

The Issues of Today Our home & church family IS our True Wealth Family is our legacy Results of Broken Families (includes Christians) • Approximate US divorce rate is 50% • In 2009, 41% of children were born with unwed parents • In 2012, 12.2 million single parent families. 80% were single mothers • In 2011, 40.9% of single-mother families in poverty. Almost 5X worse than married-couple families (8.8%). Restoring Hope in our Community Through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Godly Fathers Are A Target Satan has been killing fathers throughout history • Around the time of Moses’ birth, Pharaoh of Egypt gave orders to all his people to throw every Israelite boy that was born into the Nile river – (Exodus 1:15-22). • The 10th plague upon Egypt…The Plague of death on the firstborn son – (Exodus 11:4-6 & 12:29-30) • Herod tried to kill Jesus after He was born, which ended in the murder of all boys in Bethlehem that were age 2 and under – (Matt 2:13-18) Restoring Hope in our Community Through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Closer To Home During Holocaust, Hitler led the murder of 6 million Jews: • ~3 million men, • ~2 million women, • ~1 million children The US aborted and murdered ~55 million babies since Roe v Wade decision 40 yrs ago making abortion legal.   8. Significance of Father/Son Relationships The Church has a responsibility of Fatherhood & Motherhood. WE NEED: Spiritual fathers & mothers in our churches Godly fathers & mothers in our homes Restoring Hope in our Community Through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

  9. What Are The Consequences? When We Are Not Good Fathers & Mothers? Sins of our fathers and mothers can infect the lives of our family. • inside your home and inside the church…infects generation after generation What legacy will you leave for generations, in YOUR HOME and YOUR MINISTRY? Exodus 20:5-6: …punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.   10. It’s about the generations of our Family and God’s church. It’s time to put ourselves aside, and be Godly Men and Women Lives are at stake! (Declare! Malachi 4:6) There is a call for Godly fathers/mothers Our biological and spiritual “children” must reach higher places of glory in God WHAT WILL YOUR LEGACY BE? This Is Not About You!
