  1. IdeaPad™ Y550 - Hardware Disassembly -

  2. FRU Disassembly Camera LCD Keyboard Nova Key Power Button TouchPad

  3. Remove Battery 1、Turn the notebook over. 2、Unlock and hold the latch, and remove the battery.

  4. Remove Keyboard Remove 4 screws then take the CPU door away.

  5. Remove Memory Pull two latches and pop the Memory module up to the 45°angles, and then pulling out the module in that angle.

  6. Remove Fan Disconnect the fan cable and remove 3 screws on the fan. Then take the fan away.

  7. Remove HeatSink Remove 7 screws on heat sink then take the heat sink away.

  8. Remove CPU Module Turn the non-removable screw here 180 degrees counter-clockwise to loosen the CPU and lift the CPU away.

  9. Remove Wireless Module Disconnect the cables and remove 2 screws on the card, then take the card away.

  10. Remove ODD Remove 1 screw and put the screw driver into the slot and push, then pull the ODD out of the notebook.

  11. Remove HDD • Remove 2 screws and take the HDD cover away ,then pull out the HDD and lift it away.

  12. Remove Keyboard Cover Module 1、 Remove 4 screws ；

  13. Remove Keyboard Cover Module 2、Lift up the keyboard cover and put it in front of top case. Disconnect the LED cable and take the keyboard cover away.

  14. Remove Keyboard Notes:Removing Keyboard Cable 1. Use a flexible connector tool to unlock the cable connector on both ends (no. 1). 2. Carefully pull out the keyboard cable (no. 2) with a pair of tweezers. 3. Lock the connector (no. 3) again to avoid possible breakage. 2、Lift up the keyboard and lay it in front of top case then disconncet the keyboard FPC .Now take the keyboard away.

  15. Remove LCD 1、Remove 4 screws on LCD hinges.

  16. Remove LCD 2、take the LCD panel away.

  17. Remove Top Case 1、Remove all screws on bottom case .

  18. Remove Top Case • 2、Disconnect one cables and lift top case away.

  19. Remove Motherboard 1、Disconnect all cables and remove 2 screws.

  20. Remove Motherboard 2、take the motherboard away. Be careful the power cable.
