Introduction • In the next slides I will include a brief introduction about myself and about my personal brand.
Where I went to school? • I started at the “SacroCuore” High School in Naples, Italy. I graduate in the class of 2006.
After graduate from HS… • I moved up in the Northern part of Italy, where I could ski for the Italian National team for 2 years. • Raced European Cup and I had a couple of starts in the World Cup ski circuit.
Utah • After that my professional ski career was over. I moved to the USA in Salt Lake City, UT for skiing and study Marketing at the University of Utah.
Nevada • However, after a good offer from the University of Nevada, Reno I decided to move here in the Tahoe area.
University of Nevada, Reno • I’m currently pursuing my bachelor degree in Marketing with a minor in Spanish.
Work experience • Worked as a manage at the Sugar Bowl Academy Ski Team.
Blogging • I currently have my blog where I’m focusing in Insurance and Social Media. • I also compare the different strategies that the insurances from the USA are applying compare to the rest of the world.
Why did I start my blog? • I started this blog because the Insurance industry is something that always got my interest. • In the insurance industry the use of social media is very minimal so I wanted to post some thoughts about it.
Opportunity to communicate! • Facebook doubled since 2008 • Twitter doubled since 2009 • The life stream age • Consumer generated content
Why Should we use social media? • More messages in more places • Attract and it does not detract • Build communities and not databases • Google love social media • 24/7 • Build frequency more efficiently and dynamically
How can we use those Social Media? • Generate relationships • Show passion • Build awareness • Be Interesting • Demonstrate honesty
