Agenda • Current Project Status • Benefits, Features, Enhancements • Getting Your Agency Prepared • Questions
State of the Project • Computers and Software installed at TxDPS Headquarters • Phase I - new core network has been installed at TxDPS headquarters – 4/2/06 • Connections established with NCIC, NLETS, and MVD • Connectivity with TxDPS repositories: TCIC, Driver License, and CCH.
State of the Project • Bridge programs in Legacy TLETS • Legacy TLETS converted to intercept and route all messages through new system • Phase II - Ongoing screen testing continues. Target date of 5/19/06
Benefits • Logs stored in a relational database system • Capability for monitoring traffic real-time • Improved reporting features • More statistics • Weather messages delivered to county codes
Features • Support for additional Message Keys • Commercial Vehicle • Wildlife Crime Inquiry • Query Probation Information • Driver License Name Query • Local Logs • Distance Broadcast
Enhancements • Forward a received message • Populate a form with a sent message • Drop down list boxes for lookup values • Spell Check • Intuitive user interface • Configurable
Minimum Requirements • Complete CJIS Security Package • To be CJIS compliant, all computers processing CJIS data must be firewalled (NIST certified) from the Internet and any other public access connectivity.
