Effective Strategies for Selecting Chapter Leadership in ASHRAE

Choosing the right leaders is crucial for your ASHRAE chapter's success. Invite new and Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) members to participate and include current chapter officers, committee chairs, and the Board of Governors. Ensure that leaders understand their commitments and responsibilities. It's advisable to select your leadership team early and consider appointing mentors for each position, potentially involving past presidents and key committee chairs. Foster teamwork through active committees, participate in trainings, and communicate the importance of the roles to selected candidates.
